TellyJuice Create Video Campaign for Child Rescue Alert

Missing People, the charity that offers support for missing people and their families, has launched a Child Rescue Alert campaign with the help of TellyJuice, who created the animated video starring Stephen Fry.

Supporters Crime and Investigation channel (CI) approached us for help.  They were inspired by a comic book hero trailer that we had made for Viasat and had the idea of making an everyday-hero campaign using a similar comic book style. Martin Gent of CI scripted the video, Carl Pearce illustrated it, and the TellyJuice team produced and animated the advert using After Effects and Cinema 4D.

The video is part of a two-week nationwide campaign that asks for the help of the public when searching for missing children. Public need to text 85080 to subscribe to a service that will alert them when a child has gone missing in their local area so they can keep their eyes and ears open and report any sightings that could bring a child home safely and quickly.

The charity commercial ran on Sky News, was featured in Campaign, and print adverts have run in national and regional newspapers such as The Sun and Metro. During its fortnight run it will receive over 60 million impressions.

The service is funded by The Royal Mail but supporters including TellyJuice, CI, Stephen Fry and Missing People were more than happy to volunteer their services. Tonight Bob Geldof and Fiona Phillips are holding an award ceremony which recognises some of the companies that have helped Child Rescue Alert. Designer and animator David Skinner and Producer Dave Toomer will be attending.

David says,

I’m proud that TellyJuice were able to support Child Rescue Alert. I have three children and if one of them went missing this service could be a life line.

Editor of the advert, Harry Brinn, says,

It’s a great feeling to do even a small gesture for such a hugely important cause. It makes you feel a tiny bit heroic but now we can all be heroes by signing up to the service.
