Val Huet is the CEO of The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). Val trained as a Sculptor, then in 1986 qualified as an Art Therapist. She still makes art in her freetime. Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art media as its primary mode of expression and communication. BAAT provides a source of information and resources for anyone interesting in or practising Art Therapy in the UK.
In this Creative Cut Val discusses why it’s so important for everyone’s wellbeing – young or old, to play, doodle and be creative – no matter how ‘good’ the outcome is.
