Royal Ascot Promo by Royal Approval

Royal Ascot, 17th – 21st June 2014: It’s the highlight of the calendar for every milliner, but also for our fabulous client Racing UK, which for the first time ever is broadcasting a record 50 hours coverage of Royal Ascot on their UK leading horse racing channel.

So who did they ask to promote this prestigious event? Why their trusted and leading creative video agency TellyJuice of course. (A little ostentatious of me to say, I know. Just imagine I am wearing one of Philip Treacy’s most flamboyant creations and parading around the Royal Enclosure.)

Royal Approval

Racing UK needed the on-air promo to be suitably showy, something to reflect the excitement and pageantry of the occasion and something that would promote the big event and pull viewers in to Racing UK. Most importantly it needed to be royally approved by The Palace. Not only did we need to make it spot on brand for Racing UK, but on brand for HRH The Queen. Fortunately TellyJuice had already made the Queen’s Jubilee Promo for the BBC last year, so we’re no strangers to this process, we’re a classy act.  TV promo campaigns are in our blood, we were brought up on them!  As for Racing UK, we are very familiar with their brand, having made The Epsom Derby promo, Crabbie’s Grand National, Road to Cheltenham – to mention a few.

The Creative Execution

We offered Racing UK three creative executions to choose from. We shot this promo on location at the beautiful hotel 11 Cadogen Gardens in Chelsea with three actors, a few bottles of champagne and lots of hats.
The promo is currently being aired on Racing UK TV and also on their website racinguk.com.  To see the promo is all its glory, please follow this link http://www.racinguk.com/
