TellyJuice Do Glasto

The office was a bit quieter last week as some of the TJ team glittered up and headed down to Glastonbury.

While the rest of us had a serious case of FOMO, Glastonbury regulars Harry, Maddie and Lauren were on hand to give us the low-down from the site, along with some jealousy-inducing photos. Here’s how they got on…

Harry Had it Large

Music That Matters

“My favourite artists were Maribou State, Kate Tempest, Pond, Tame Impala, Chemical Brothers, The Streets and Years and Years. During the Years and Years set Olly gave an amazing speech about LGBT rights and there was rainbow confetti at the end – really inspiring!”

Where to Go When the Sun Went Down

“After hours we partied at The Pangea (a giant crane with a projection show) and The Icon (a stage that was a giant head) which were both incredible.”

Sun, Sounds and Scenery

“Music highlights for me were Maribou State, The Cat Empire, The Courteeners and Kylie really was incredible! Somone flew a flag over by plane with a marriage proposal! I would say the time of day at a festival makes such a difference to a band and the vibe. We saw Maribou State as the sun was setting and those ambient sounds just set the mood perfectly!”

The Campaign for Change at Centre Stage

“The campsite was so much tidier than previous years. It felt like everyone really was celebrating the plastic ban and the speech from David Attenborough really spurred that on as well. More than ever it really felt like a community pushing for change.”

“The heat was crazy, but the water stations were amazing. Seeing everyone carry their own bottle around was great and really seemed like it was possible to make a wider change when people work together!

After my previous festival being so muddy this experience was just amazing and truly one of the best!”

Lauren was Loving It

The Right Place at the Right Time

“Highlights for me were The Killers, Tame Impala and Two Door Cinema Club and being at the front most of the time was great. Overall such a great party, we even happened to wander across a Glasto wedding on the bandstand!”

Definitely Worth the Wait

“There was a three hour queue to get in and we had to hide under umberellas to escape the heat, but it was absolutely worth it!”
